You and Me
Sometimes, I'm such a dork. I really don't know what I'm doing, or most of the time, got my head in the clouds dreaming farfetch thoughts. And when I plan things, things like having the perfect outing, presenting a great gift or even just a usual stroll to the mall, I generally botch things up. Why? I don't really know. Shakespeare's answer to that, to paraphrase him, is "I don't know. It's a mystery."
I admit I'm pretty lucky. A good job, a great family, and in the company of diverse and very good friends. But being lucky isn't enough. It's like I'm missing something. Or if I put it in a melodramatic tone, I'd say that a piece of my soul has been lost Or that my soul has been flawed from the beginning and needed something to sharpen its edges and bring out its luxury.
Then I found you. Sure you had some rough edges yourself but I believed that I sharpened those as you had with mine. We brought out the best in each other, and rarely thankfully, the worst in us. But I'd like to think of it as a identifying chink to each of our soul, and we used each to cover those chinks. In the end, those souls interlinked to become something more beautiful, with sharpened edges and luxury refined. A thing of beauty indeed.
I guess what I'm to say is that I never met anyone who made me the best of what I am, who complemented my virtues and hid my flaws. Because you, Ronstadt Fernandez, my love, my girl, made me a better man.
Will you marry me?
