Weightlift Weirdness

I hate being Customer Complaints ( which one of my positions, and believe me any more I'd be thinner...)

Taking a break from work and writing. Surfing the web and found this.

Best Weightlifting Sport Ever!

Tangena, where do I sign up for practices?!

The Ex Files: Early Morning Sightings

I slept at 7:30 yesterday, in order to get up early to take my family to the airport. I got up pretty much ahead of schedule, at 2:30am. So what's a guy to do at the wee hours of the morning? He plays with his toys. Literally. And for you green minded people out there, that means either reading sourcebooks or playing console games. This morning though, I kinda looked for something solemn and quiet, hence I popped in MGS3: Snake Eater in the PS2 and proceeded to sneak through the jungle evading rather intelligent AI KGBs using stealth, camouflage and a little help from a Kermit the Frog doll ( for those who played the game before know what I'm talking about, hehehe ).
After an hour playing, got to finally read the new sourcebooks I got yesterday. A Game of Thrones is very nice, very detailed. I get to see my favorite characters come into D6 life, hehehe. My only gripe is that its just about the first book, so there's no continuation. But the details are very big! Imagine the book to be as big as a Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide combined! Now that's hefty!
I just scanned the Serenity and Shadowrun sourcebooks, and looks pretty nice at a glance. Different from the usual DnD fare, more of a d20 based gaming, but still looking forward to browse some more later.
Anyways, at around 6, I got my ass off to drive my dad to the airport. Nothing special, used to do this a lot. When my whole family got off the car, who do you think I saw?!
Lo and behold! It was the Eater of Lies and the Despoiler of Souls! She Who is Akin to a Whale! She Who is Like A Sack of Potatoes!
I saw her just as she was entering through the Departure Area. Weird, kinda like a hard dream...or a soft nightmare. Whatever.
Hmmm ... interesting ... she's going to Manila. I wonder why? Ah well, things will become clear in time.
In any case, I'm plain happy cuz I'm alone in the house with my movies, books and music. Ah, to have the house to myself.

Writer's Block! And Its A Fricken' Wall!!

Everything is not doing good. I got ideas for a dozen stories but I can't seem to write any of those in actual paper...usually I get into the first few pages, then everything seems to fall apart.

Writer's Block? More like a brick wall.

Still, there's still hope as I just recieved some stuff from the internet to jump start the noggin' and maybe, just maybe, be able to write and finish this Friday.

Ah well, I'm now rolling my dice on this one.

Stuff I Got:

Game of Thrones D20 RPG
Shadowrun 4th Edition
Serenity D20 RPG
Firefly, 1st Season DVD

Hamster's New Quest!

When I was in Manila last weekend, I stumbled upon this ad when passing by Gateway Mall.

The First Philippine Graphic/Fiction Awards!

Wow. And it's affiliated with Neil Gaiman! Double wow!

Basically, the skinny is that Neil Gaiman and Fully Booked Stores will hold a nationwide writing competition in two types : Fantasy/Science Fiction Prose Writing category and Comics/Graphic Novel category

Bad thing is that it's deadline is in Feb 28. So that gives me a window of 13 days to finish a short story of 7000 words or less.

Here is the link for the Contest Details, for those who are also interested.

That saying...

I'll be out this coming week and the next, at the most, I'll just update tidbits and important stuff. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to put up a story a little over 10 days, a feat doubly hard, impossible even .

But I just gotta try right?

Besides, I think I have my story in my head now. Only thing left to do is put it in paper.

Previous Post Lost, What The Hell?!

Dammit, where the hell was my previous post? Arrrrgh! There's something wrong with Blogger, and just now I get this annoucement that they'll be having a system maintenance scheduled. Now that just sucks.
Yesterday was our monthsary, and had spent the day together. I'll upload the pics whenever Blogger gets back online.

In the meantime, enjoy this video I've shot in Dinagyang

Forgive the shaking and grainy shots, this is my first time filming, hehehe. Anyways, I hope everybody will enjoy it and perhaps get to visit Iloilo whenever January rolls around for the real thing. Ayt, that's about it.
I'm still mad though.
